VertexOne is looking to define and execute the product vision for VXretail to align with the company's strategy, improve customer experience, reduce cost to serve, increase operational efficiency, and drive utility operations forward.

Requirements

  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to see the big picture, anticipate market trends, and align product development with business goals.
  • Market Research: Proficiency in conducting thorough market research, analyzing data, and identifying opportunities.
  • User-Centric Mindset: Understanding user needs, pain points, and behavior to inform product decisions.
  • Data Analysis: Skill in interpreting performance metrics, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence.
  • Innovation: A passion for exploring new ideas, technologies, and disruptive solutions
  • Must have retail energy and/or utility experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in product development, product management, or related utilities/energy industry roles

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the 3–5 year product vision and roadmap for VXretail
  • Define and validate market problems, user personas, and use case scenarios
  • Lead market research, win/loss analysis, and competitor assessments for their domain
  • Translate company and portfolio strategy into investment priorities and product-line-level strategic priorities
  • Develop and maintain the business plan, pricing strategy, and buy/build/partner approach
  • Define and manage the strategic narrative (problem, value proposition, differentiation)
  • Guide Technical PMs to ensure all backlog items and delivery plans align to strategic intent

  • Communication: Effective communication with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executives.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire teams, drive collaboration, and make tough decisions.
  • Partner with Product Marketing on positioning, pricing, and launch strategy
  • Serve as executive-facing representative for their product line
  • Align stakeholders for their domain across product, marketing, sales, customer success, and engineering
