Raytheon is looking for a Software Engineer to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software (SW) Department. The MDS SW mission is to provide world class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for our customers’ wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems.
Requirements
- Experience developing software with C, C++, Java, or Ada.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), configuration management tools (Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory), and data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python).
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded applications.
- Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to complex technical problems.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time application software and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
- Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
- Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
- Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- The ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- Well-developed communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
