Requirements
- Deep expertise in a relevant technical domain such as deep learning, computer vision, NLP, reinforcement learning, or distributed systems.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Go, Java) and experience building and optimizing large-scale systems.
- Possessing or pursuing a PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with a thesis aligned to Roblox’s research areas.
- A strong research track record, evidenced by multiple publications and presentations in top-tier, peer-reviewed venues.

Responsibilities
- Prototype and experiment with advanced AI, machine learning, and 3D technologies to solve real-world challenges at scale
- Translate cutting-edge research into production-ready features by working alongside world class engineering and product teams
- Develop and deliver solutions that enhance user experience, safety, and creativity on a global platform
- Build recommender and search systems, connecting millions of experiences to users via generative modeling, LLMs, and multimodal content understanding.
- Expand the ML backbone powering monetization, marketplace, and payments, solving problems related to fraud, pricing, and personalization
- Evolve the intersection of recommendation systems, ranking, and marketplace/auction theory to optimize sponsored content delivery
- Create scalable AI for real-time safety & moderation using LLMs, NLP, and computer vision to safeguard text, voice, and accounts.

- During this 12 or 16 week internship, you will drive a project from ideation to experimentation, production or publication, with the possibility of continued collaboration beyond the internship.
