Schwab is looking to transform the finance industry by leveraging data to make better decisions. The Data Engineering internship aims to immerse interns in the Schwab culture and technology roles to help achieve this goal.
Requirements
- Understanding of Java or C-Sharp development
- Familiarity with Data Engineering, ETL, Hadoop, and MongoDB
- Database modeling knowledge
- Basic understanding of object-oriented analysis and design.
- Interest in data analysis or designing and building data pipelines to move data.
Responsibilities
- creating and updating data pipeline specifications and/or designing data pipeline logic
- building and maintaining code for big data ingestion
- identifying opportunities to leverage company data to drive business outcomes
- designing and developing scalable data ingestion frameworks
Other
- Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program
- Have enough credit hours to put you at a junior level status at a 4-year college or university
- Have not already completed your bachelor's degree
- Able and willing to relocate at your own expense if relocation is needed
- Able to commit to working 40 hours a week for the 9 weeks of the internship dates of June 8, 2026 - August 7, 2026
- Able to start full time employment during business hours between August 2026 - September 2027
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
