Requirements

  • Demonstrate ability in at least one of the following technologies: Java, Python, C-Sharp, .NET, SQL, JavaScript, HTML / CSS
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented analysis and design
  • Majoring in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related subject area
  • Good analytical problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of front end (design-focused), back end (database/API), or full stack roles
  • Experience with technologies that deliver solutions that improve efficiency and productivity of existing, new, and emerging tools
  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies

Responsibilities

  • designing, coding, testing, and documenting new or existing software
  • reviewing code to detect and remove bugs
  • peer reviewing code for other Schwab engineers
  • participating in scrum and/or agile projects
  • collaborating to understand business needs
  • gaining hands-on experience with new tools and technologies
  • learning about the Software Development Life Cycle and Product Development Lifecycle

Other

  • Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program
  • Have enough credit hours to put you at a junior level status at a 4-year college or university
  • Able and willing to relocate at your own expense if relocation is needed
  • Able to commit to working 40 hours a week for the 9 weeks of the internship dates of June 8, 2026 - August 7, 2026
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship
