Requirements
- Demonstrate ability in at least one of the following technologies: Java, Python, C-Sharp, .NET, SQL, JavaScript, HTML / CSS
- Basic understanding of object-oriented analysis and design
- Majoring in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related subject area
- Good analytical problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of front end (design-focused), back end (database/API), or full stack roles
- Experience with technologies that deliver solutions that improve efficiency and productivity of existing, new, and emerging tools
- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies
Responsibilities
- designing, coding, testing, and documenting new or existing software
- reviewing code to detect and remove bugs
- peer reviewing code for other Schwab engineers
- participating in scrum and/or agile projects
- collaborating to understand business needs
- gaining hands-on experience with new tools and technologies
- learning about the Software Development Life Cycle and Product Development Lifecycle
Other
- Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program
- Have enough credit hours to put you at a junior level status at a 4-year college or university
- Able and willing to relocate at your own expense if relocation is needed
- Able to commit to working 40 hours a week for the 9 weeks of the internship dates of June 8, 2026 - August 7, 2026
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship
