LyondellBasell is looking to solve cybersecurity challenges within its Digital Security organization, specifically focusing on providing cyber security support to the computing systems that ensure the integrity, confidentiality, reliability, and availability of manufacturing site Industrial Control Systems (ICS). The intern will help assess the security of applications and infrastructure, and contribute to the implementation of security measures.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, IS or IT Security, cybersecurity, computer engineering, Data Science & Analytics, instrument engineering or a related study
- 2 years of prior work experience (inclusive of developing a private lab, infrastructure, darknet, or similar environment)
- Demonstrated analytical and cognitive thinking skills, with an ability to think broadly across systems
- Understand security vulnerability management and the process
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation of regional and local preventative systems and business / manufacturing computing systems (firewall, versions, patches, protection, certificate management, etc.)
- Ensure that all regional sites’ networks and systems comply with corporate standards; communicate threats appropriately
- Participate in Level 2 monitoring, support, and SVA (site vulnerability assessments)
- Assist in Operational Excellence assessment support and facilitate forensics investigations
- Support project design and implementation
- Ensure effective regional security awareness program implementation
- Assist in setting technical direction and strategy for ICS systems architecture and security

- Overall GPA of 3.0 or greater

- Must be highly self-sufficient and able to make self-directed decisions as well as support other team members in the department
