Eastman is looking for Data Scientists to provide actionable insights using advanced analytics to help the company make better and faster decisions.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in one or more areas of data science modeling: classification, regression, time series analysis, clustering, and natural language processing.
- Proficient in a modern programming language, preferably Python or R.
- Experience in data cleaning and transformation.
- Experience interfacing with relational databases, NoSQL, or graph databases is a plus.
- Experience creating user interfaces is a plus, specifically with R Shiny, Python Streamlit or Python Dash, and Power BI.
- Ability to manage complex projects and methodically work towards rigorous solutions.
- Critically evaluate customer requirements and deploy solutions to meet specific needs.
Responsibilities
- Apply real-time descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive modeling to enable business decisions and deliver valuable insights using statistical and machine learning methods.
- Critically evaluate customer requirements, explore and understand data, and create and deploy solutions to meet those requirements.
- Utilize programming skills and version control to develop scalable solutions, database languages and transformation libraries to extract and transform data, and tools to deploy solutions.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and other employees in a diverse set of roles from individual contributors to senior management.

- Pursuing or enrolled in an M.S. or Ph.D. in the United States in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or any other relevant field including engineering.
