AIG is making long-term investments in a brand-new, innovative Generative AI team to explore new possibilities for how artificial intelligence can be applied in insurance and beyond. The Data Engineering Senior Developer for Gen AI will lead the design, development, and operationalization of cutting-edge cloud-native big data solutions that enable innovative AI models and analytics, driving business insights and value, all while ensuring scalability and sustainability.
Requirements
- You have recent direct experience in data engineering, programming, and delivering scalable data solutions in work or school settings.
- You are proficient in cloud-native platforms and tools, including Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Kubernetes, and ElasticSearch, to deliver high-performance data solutions.
- You have experience developing AI/ML models, with hands-on desire to use platforms like Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, and AWS SageMaker.
- You are skilled in programming languages such as PySpark, R, Spark SQL, Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with a focus on delivering efficient, well-documented code.
- You are passionate about exploring innovative AI and Generative AI technologies, using them to drive impactful solutions within large-scale enterprise environments.
- You have an interest in working with both internal and external teams to deliver best-in-class data engineering solutions, sharing knowledge and best practices across the organization.
- You are experienced in implementing code versioning processes and are committed to maintaining high standards for software development and project management.

- Building and maintaining cloud-native big data solutions, advanced analytics products and Gen AI models.
- Partnering with data architects and senior engineers to implement best practices, ensuring sustainable and scalable technical designs.
- Working closely with analytics, application development, and data science teams to foster collaboration and drive innovation.
- Delivering on-time, high-quality results on fast-paced schedules while maintaining rigorous standards for development and code management.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and deliver innovative data solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business.
