Textron Aviation is looking for an Entry Level Instrumentation Software Engineer to assess software requirements and create/maintain applications for instrumentation configuration and flight test data processing. The role supports new product development, certification, and the experimental flight test environment.
Requirements
- Ability to utilize computers to create and modify data acquisition software.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain applications in support of instrumentation configuration and flight test data processing.
- Provide support and application development relating to new product development and certification, as well as related processes in the experimental flight test environment.
- Develop tools and processes in support of flight test data management, which may include instrumentation configurations, parameter calibrations, data conversions, data displays, processing automation, and analysis tools.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy and traceability of all acquired data.
- Enhance and update the process of Instrumentation and how data is collected and recorded.
- Update & enhance the process of data conversion and how data is transformed from raw counts to engineering unit values.
- Improve the process of data consumption and how data is viewed and used by others.
Other
- Bachelor's Degree in required in Engineering, Computer Science, or relative technical engineering degree
- Less than 2 years of professional experience in a relevant role
- Ability to deal with change and work in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

- Must have positive attitude and outstanding integrity.
