Raytheon is seeking a Software Infrastructure Engineering candidate to support Modernized Infrastructure projects, working with cutting-edge technologies in products that help to protect the warfighter.
Requirements
- Experience in software development utilizing scripting languages such as: Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, Bash, or Shell.
- Ability to apply basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
- Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems.
- Any knowledge/experience with Linux, Windows or related System Operating systems at the Command Line Interface is preferred.
- Experience using development tools such as: Ansible, Chef, Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, GIT, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence or similar.
- Experience with Network design and architecture schemes
- Experience with Cloud Technologies such as: AWS, Google, Gov
Responsibilities
- Support infrastructure/DevOps build and automation activities utilizing programming/scripting skills (Ruby, Python, Go, PowerShell, and Java) and continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Participate in collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams, often employing agile system and software development operations to plan, specify, design, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
- Develop Modernized Software Infrastructure utilizing DevOps tools such as: Ansible, Chef, and the Atlassian Tool suite.
- Develop DevOps concepts, Containerization, and related product development for our program’s new modernized Infrastructure systems using tools such as: Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and senior technical staff, in addition to producing planning and technical work products for internal customers to form original solutions to complex problems.
- Work in an advanced product development team environment with systems and Software Infrastructure Engineers.
Other
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- TS/SCI without Polygraph
- Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as excellent written/verbal communication skills
