Raytheon is looking for a Software Engineer to support the Missile Defense Sensors (MDS) Software Department, providing world-class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for customers' Surveillance and Warning Systems.

Requirements

  • Experience developing software with C, C++, Java, or Ada.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), configuration management tools (Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory), and data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python).
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded applications.
  • Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
  • Ability to promote a culture of continuous learning, cross-team collaboration and training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related (STEM) discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time application software and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
  • Participate in internal reviews of software components and systems.
  • Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
  • Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.
  • Design, develop, test, and release software products for one of our Radar or C2 programs.
  • Work on an agile team responsible for developing and delivering software for one of the MDS Department’s programs.
  • Develop and maintain large-scale, complex software solutions in an agile environment.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • Well-developed communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
