Plante Moran's management consulting team needs to assist clients with their critical business needs, including international business needs such as financial reporting, tax planning, shareholder planning, and mergers and acquisitions. The intern will help implement global strategies, conduct diligence for mergers and acquisitions, explore foreign market opportunities, and support management decision-making through financial modeling and data analysis.
Requirements
- Strong GAAP background with an understanding of debits and credits.
- CPA designation or pursing CPA designation is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Working with our clients in implementing their global strategy through mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
- Assist clients with any phase of global business evolution by providing support in several areas, such as mergers & acquisition diligence, foreign market opportunities, and other important business issues (both in the accounting and consulting areas).
- Assisting in development and review of financial models, analysis and delivery of data to support management decision making.
- Participating in client meetings and site visits while interacting with top-level management to acquire and assess important information for financial analysis, due diligence, etc.
- Participating with Global Services internal team projects, including technology enhancements to intranet and firm website pages.

- Pursuing a Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field.
- This role may include out of town/international travel.
- Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
