IBM Research is looking to solve the problem of building next generation storage systems to address the needs of Agentic AI and Quantum computing workloads
Requirements
- Programming languages: Python, Go, Bash, C++
- Using, administering, and programming for Linux environment
- Tools and platforms: Kubernetes, Docker, Git
- Basic understanding of the storage stack in Linux
- Experience with system and storage performance measurement analysis
- Understanding of LLM technology, inference, and vLLM/LMCache in particular
- Rust programming language
Responsibilities
- Conducting the full industrial research cycle - from ideation and design to prototyping the solution to demonstrate the benefits leading to scientific publication(s) and IP protection
- Building the next generation storage systems to address the needs of Agentic AI and Quantum computing workloads
- Working at the intersection of storage, AI, and Quantum computing
- Designing and implementing distributed systems and storage
- System and storage performance measurement analysis
- Programming for Linux environment
- Using, administering, and programming for Linux environment
