Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems and Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern to join the Aeronautics Systems Intern Program to ensure compliance to engineering peer review processes and to document and track defects, issues, and discrepancies.
Requirements
- Be majoring in Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other STEM major.
- Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2026.
- Be available to work part-time (10 hours per week) from Jan 26 to Jun 26 and full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.

Responsibilities
- The System and Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern will participate in peer reviews, will document defects, issues, discrepancies, track them through closure in the appropriate tools and ensure compliance to the engineering peer review process.
- The System and Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern will review tests, ensure that all test steps are marked/checked off in the Test Procedure as they are executed, and all steps that are not executed are clearly marked and documented in the Test Procedure and/or Test Log as not executed
- The System and Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern will develop, modify and maintain customized or standardized applications using software engineering best practices and standards.
- The System and Software Quality Assurance Engineer Intern will work with an experienced Software Engineer to learn about software processes and procedures.
