Solving critical challenges for the United States Navy by working with large, complex system dynamics models, processing and analyzing real-world data from U.S. submarine support networks, and creating and validating simulations of complex logistics frameworks.
Requirements
- Experience with writing MATLAB code and performing simulations is helpful
- Have some experience in MATLAB through coursework or a prior internship
- Have significant experience in MATLAB and/or Simulink through coursework or a prior internship
- Have experience developing system dynamics models of complex logistics workflows
- Have experience with developing data analysis and visualization software
Responsibilities
- develop robust, performant models in MATLAB/Simulink and perform validation of those models
- implement and iterate on MATLAB/Simulink-specific coding best-practices using guidelines provided by the team and alongside an experienced mentor
- develop post-processing utilities in MATLAB to visualize the results of your simulation against real-world data to validate the accuracy and completeness of the simulation
Other
- Are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Have a passion for developing high-quality software and models demonstrated through coursework or prior internships.
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Secret level clearance.
- Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
