Holland America Line is looking to solve the problem of analyzing and improving their Shorex product offerings through data analysis and research, comparing their current program catalogue to key competitors and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience completing market research and compiling competitive data analysis/SWOT analysis.
  • Proficiency using MS office Suite including Outlook & MS Teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, power query, data validation and indexmatch.
  • Ability to digest, synthesize and manipulate large sets of data into a clear, concise summary.
  • Recent coursework or experience in AI Engineering preferred.

  • Ability to work with technical tasks, projects and/or work that may require specific proficiencies, technical abilities and/or computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify Key Competitors and assess their Shorex product offering, customer satisfaction, product performance and market gaps to compare against our current Shorex program catalogue.
  • Gather and analyze historical data related to shore excursion product, including past attendance, feedback, and operational challenges.
  • Review Bazar voice customer reviews to identify incorrectly assigned product photos and reviews.
  • Review Shorex Escort database for data trends, and audit the submitted photos to remove visual assets that do not meet brand standards.
  • Collect feedback and comments from passengers, tour guides, and other stakeholders to ensure the analysis address’ practical needs and areas for improvement.
  • Attend mandatory meetings with Shorex Management team to present updates and receive project feedback.
  • Learn Basic functions within MXP, Fidelio, SharePoint and Air table to extract historical data.

Other

  • Eligible candidates are enrolled in a four-year accredited undergraduate program (where they are at least a rising junior) or in a graduate/Ph.D. program and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • MUST NOT be a graduating senior in the summer 2026.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group environment with excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and maximize efficiency.
  • Well organized and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.
