Veit is looking for a tech-savvy and customer-focused IT Support Desk Intern to join their Information Technology team to provide hands-on experience in IT support operations and help end users resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS environments.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and common business applications.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in IT support and customer service.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk)
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and applications.
- Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access permissions.
- Assist in the automation of all manual internal processes.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes including device preparation and configuration.
- Document and escalate unresolved issues to appropriate IT staff.
- Participate on the IT Cyber Security team monitoring potential threats and working as a team to mitigate risks.
