AMD is looking to hire Masters Compiler Engineering Co-Op/Interns to contribute to the development of compilers for P4 language targeting domain-specific architectures implemented in their ASICs, aiming to accelerate next-generation computing experiences.
Requirements
- Proficient in object-oriented languages, with a preference for C++.
- Coursework or previous experience in compilers, data structures, and programming languages.
- Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD methodologies is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work on a compiler for the P4 language targeting a domain-specific architecture implemented in our family of ASICs.
- Contribute to the build and development of the compiler, which is based on open-source software such as LLVM and P4C and is architected based on new and efficient software design principles and methodologies.
- Collaborate with both compiler customers and the dedicated ASIC team building the target ASICs.
- Receive mentorship from senior engineers with a wealth of experience for your skill improvement.

- Currently enrolled in a US based University in a Master’s program majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering. or a related field.
- Open-minded teammate who can work in a geographically dispersed team.
- Onsite/Hybrid: These roles require the student to work full time (40 hours a week) onsite throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.
