The Trade Desk is looking to solve complex, large-scale technical challenges in the AdTech industry by leveraging data science and machine learning. They aim to improve their advertising platform through innovative data products and contribute to a better, more open internet.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of statistical machine learning and optimization techniques
• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark and AWS
• Experience in at least one programming language (Python, R, Java, Scala, etc.)
• Comfortable with SQL by the start of the internship
• Ability to deliver a convincing story, derived from data, to both technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of new and existing data products
• Apply machine learning techniques and advancements in the AdTech industry
• Work with big data technologies such as Spark and AWS
• Utilize programming languages like Python, R, Java, or Scala
• Use SQL for data manipulation and analysis
• Deliver data-driven stories to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree program
• Expected graduation date between Autumn 2026 and Summer 2027
• Based out of our London office. Available to work in-office at least 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
