AbbVie is looking to solve serious health issues today and address the medical challenges of tomorrow by discovering and delivering innovative medicines and solutions, and the Project & Change Management Intern will support transformative change and impactful communications within the Clinical Sciences organization.

Requirements

  • Exposure to business, communications, journalism, life sciences, or project management curriculum
  • Familiarity with emerging communications trends and relevant technologies
  • Project management experience or relevant coursework
  • Experience with strategic communications, stakeholder analysis, and organizational alignment
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in communications, change management, project management, or related function

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project managers, change management, and communications team members, as well as subject matter experts, to execute cross-functional projects
  • Lead and participate in project team meetings; advise on solutions to business, technical and operational challenges
  • Produce project status reports and other deliverables, monitoring progress and maintaining adherence to best practices
  • Support the management of project artifacts, timelines, and strategic solutions to improve business performance
  • Develop, integrate, and deliver communication plans to support change initiatives across multiple business functions and audiences
  • Design, align, coordinate, and implement change management strategies for Clinical Sciences projects
  • Conduct impact analyses, cultural readiness and organizational alignment assessments, and stakeholder management for strategic initiatives, ensuring tactics support AbbVie’s objectives and values

Other

  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Master’s degree in Business, Communications, Life Sciences, or other related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Demonstrated business acumen and ability to work collaboratively in a global environment
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027
