Wells Fargo is looking for individuals to help solve real business problems through quantitative analytics, specifically in areas like forecasting loss and revenue, developing credit scorecards, evaluating models for customer service, designing workflows, implementing GenAI, and identifying money laundering patterns.

Requirements

  • Excellent programming skills in at least one of Python, R, SAS, SQL, Spark, Java, and C++ for data and statistical analysis applications
  • Experience and demonstrated first-hand knowledge in a number of these areas: data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning/AI models, data management, and computing
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills​

Responsibilities

  • developing, implementing, calibrating, and validating quantitative models that power decision-making across our lines of business, operations, and products.
  • Forecasting loss and revenue for credit card loan portfolios
  • Developing credit scorecards for consumer decisioning strategies
  • Evaluating text-to-speech models for customer call centers
  • Designing agentic workflows for consumer and operations teams
  • Implementing GenAI for optimized commercial banking underwriting
  • Building models to identify money laundering patterns across massive transaction databases

Other

  • 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Statistics, Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related quantitative field, with an expected graduation date after December 2026.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills​
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy​
  • Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities through one or more of the following: volunteerism, student organization involvement, study abroad program(s), leadership position(s), non-profit involvement​
  • Proven ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a collaborative, change driven atmosphere​
  • Energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, acts with urgency, remains curious, and has a genuine interest in learning and growth​
