Wells Fargo is looking for talented individuals to dive into the fascinating world of quantitative analytics through a 10-week internship program. This program aims to provide hands-on experience in developing, implementing, calibrating, and validating quantitative models that power decision-making across various business lines, operations, and products.
Requirements
- Excellent programming skills in at least one of Python, R, SAS, SQL, Spark, Java, and C++ for data and statistical analysis applications
- Experience and demonstrated first-hand knowledge in a number of these areas: data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning/AI models, data management, and computing
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Responsibilities
- developing, implementing, calibrating, and validating quantitative models
- Forecasting loss and revenue for credit card loan portfolios
- Developing credit scorecards for consumer decisioning strategies
- Evaluating text-to-speech models for customer call centers
- Designing agentic workflows for consumer and operations teams
- Implementing GenAI for optimized commercial banking underwriting
- Building models to identify money laundering patterns across massive transaction databases
Other
- 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Statistics, Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related quantitative field, with an expected graduation date after December 2026.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities through one or more of the following: volunteerism, student organization involvement, study abroad program(s), leadership position(s), non-profit involvement
