Raytheon is looking to hire a Radar Signal Processing System Engineer to design, develop, and test innovative solutions for their radar systems. The role involves collaborating to extract and exploit signals for various applications, ensuring systems are robust and reliable for warfighters.
Requirements
- In undergraduate coursework, must have completed or currently be taking at least one class in Signal Processing / Image Processing (e.g., Signals & Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Signal Analysis, Radar Signal Processing, Radar and Communication Systems, Radar Systems Analysis & Design, Adaptive Array Processing, Digital Image Processing, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in the C++ programming language or object-oriented software design.
- Experience with professional internships, capstone/senior project, or academic research that provides experience applying signal processing techniques to radar data and/or working with radar environment models.
- Experience with version control tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
- Experience developing both scripts and functions with MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets.
- Experience with performance analysis and presenting analytical and technical material.
- Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of radar algorithms and models.
- Participate in engineering lab environments to test, verify, and validate radar models and signal processing algorithm performance in accordance with requirements.
- Collaborate across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues.
- Integrate algorithms into tactical system hardware and software, evaluating their functionality and impact.
- Conduct trade studies and present results to stakeholders.
- Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
- Use and modify simulations for the design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of radar algorithms and models.

- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
