The Aerospace Corporation is looking to solve complex problems in space systems for defense, civil, and commercial customers by developing innovative solutions across satellite, launch, ground, and cyber systems. The Engineering Applications Department (EAD) specifically needs to develop and integrate tools and applications for civil, commercial, and national security space systems, creating unique visual experiences for decision-makers and integrating service components for an enterprise cloud platform.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python and MERN
  • Experience leveraging virtualization for developer environments
  • Experience in building CI/CD pipelines for automatic deployment to Kubernetes
  • Experience developing Full Stack applications with microservice architecture
  • Experience in Go and Typescript
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code
  • Proficiency in cloud services

Responsibilities

  • Support industry leading scientists and engineers in the development of maintainable cloud native applications and backend service-oriented architecture components
  • Provide technical support in application architecture and development and continuous integration and continuous deployment
  • Build services that enhance data analysis and decision-making processes
  • Integrating and developing service components for the enterprise cloud platform
  • Couple the latest in information system technologies, such as elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and visualization frameworks, with expertise in cyber security, software architecture, software engineering, data science, Artificial Intelligence, process improvement, and software development to deliver responsive, resilient, high-performance software intensive systems to our IC, DoD, and civilian customers.
  • Develops a wide variety of innovative tools and applications to support civil, commercial, and national security space systems.
  • Evaluates and creates unique visual experiences that present data and analysis to key decision-makers.

Other

  • Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full-time after completion of the internship.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
