Bechtel is looking to cultivate real-life industry interest based on hands-on experience for students through their internship program, specifically in Control Systems Engineering
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited college or university
- Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in one of the above fields
- Knowledge of codes and standards and customer design requirements
- Ability to interpret and apply electrical design documents, specifications, and system descriptions
- Familiarity with measurement instrumentation and automated digital system process control
- Experience with short circuit and load-flow single line and 3-line drawings, schematics, transformer and cable sizing
- Understanding of electrical design principles and practices
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the development of basic discipline system calculations and designs such as short circuit and load-flow single line and 3-line drawings, schematics, transformer and cable sizing, and specifications for equipment where deviations from standard documentation is required
- Producing basic and higher-tier drawings and documentation in accordance with established conceptual design and scope
- Properly interpreting and applying codes and standards and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design documents, specifications, and system descriptions related to design tasks
- Performing the analysis, design, specifications, and startup support for all aspects of measurement instrumentation and automated digital system process control
- Working in multi-disciplinary teams to provide support to aspects of measurement instrumentation and automated digital system process control
- Providing support for the development of basic discipline system calculations and designs
- Preparing electrical design documents, specifications, and system descriptions related to design tasks
Other
- Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future
- Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program
- Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies
