Requirements
- Practical application of occupational safety and related disciplines for managing safety and health aspects of a project or facility
- Knowledge of industry practices, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to interpret requirements and provide technical assistance to other project groups
- Ability to identify regulatory requirements and prepare documentation and reports
- Ability to provide technical guidance for safety studies, risk and hazard assessments, and other safety and health reviews
- Ability to develop and implement safety and health communication and awareness measures
- Ability to participate in emergency response and aid in the investigation and resolution of safety-related incidents
Responsibilities
- Assists in integrating safety and health requirements
- Interprets requirements and provides technical assistance to other project groups regarding risk assessment, plan preparation, and ES&H program execution.
- Identifies regulatory requirements and prepares documentation and reports.
- Provides technical guidance for safety studies, risk and hazard assessments, and other safety and health reviews
- Assists in the development and implementation of the project Safety and Health Management Plan, associated plans and procedures, and training program.
- Helps develop and implement safety and health communication and awareness measures involving training presentations, flyers, posters, signage, and other communication and training media.
- Participates in emergency response and aids the investigation and resolution of safety-related incidents.
