Bechtel is looking to cultivate real-life industry interest in Systems Engineering through hands-on experience by offering internships. Many new university graduate hires began their careers at Bechtel as a summer intern.
Requirements
- Performing model-based systems engineering using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) automation tools (e.g., IBM® Rationale Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) or Innoslate by Spec Innovations).
Responsibilities
- Assisting in developing functional/system analysis to define facility/system design requirements.
- Assisting in establishing the means of verifying requirements implementation, including acceptance criteria.
- Assisting in the preparation of system and facility design criteria documents.
- Supporting system-level design verification, requirements verification, test requirements specification, and requirements flow down and traceability.
- Assisting in the preparation of assessments to validate and verify implementation and traceability of requirements into design.
- Participating in technical discussions to resolve system design issues.
- Researching and documenting system operations and limits from the review of design and basis documents and from discussions with system designers.
Other
- Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering at an accredited college or university.
- Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in one of the above fields.
- Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Currently enrolled in a Master of Science degree program in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering at an accredited college or university.
- Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA.
