Norfolk Southern Corp. is seeking an intern to assist with various projects within the Communications and Signals (C&S) team, focusing on improving and maintaining their C&S systems, database accuracy, and exploring new technologies.
Requirements

- General hands-on knowledge of electronic equipment with good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Responsibilities
- Trending and analysis of C&S systems
- design and commissioning of C&S equipment and systems
- accuracy verification of database resources used to regulate train dispatching systems
- revisions to electronic drawings and schematics
- research planning and deployment of new technology
Other
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors is required
- willingness to work extended hours when situations dictate
- Must have knowledge and operational skills in electronics combined with competency in computer software applications - knowledge of Windows, Access, Excel, and Word is preferred
- General hands-on knowledge of electronic equipment with good troubleshooting and problem solving skills is helpful
