Provide support to Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) as a Computer Science (OT Software) Intern - Limited Service Employee (LSE) on the Savannah River Site (SRS), a US Department of Energy (DOE) facility in Aiken, South Carolina.
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic computer science concepts, such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, etc.
- Familiarity with .NET framework and C-Sharp programming language
- Experience with web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, etc.
- Ability to learn new technologies to include artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and solve problems.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the development and maintenance of software features using C-Sharp, ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework, etc.
- Performing unit testing and integration testing using tools like NUnit, Selenium, etc.
- Analyze needs and support the development of a software solution
- Support data analytics and visualization using machine learning
- Creating and updating technical documentation using tools like Microsoft Word, Visio, etc.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for existing software applications
- Collaborating with other developers, testers, and project managers using tools like Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps, etc.
Other
- Candidate must be enrolled as a full-time student at: An accredited four-year university, and currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Must have completed their Sophomore year.
- Must pass General Employment Training (GET)
- Must pass Drug and Alcohol Testing (DAT)
- A valid Driver’s License, Registration and proof of automobile insurance is required for driving on the Savannah River Site.
