Responsibilities
- Assist with the deployment of ensemble machine learning methods, deep learning, and advanced optimization techniques to drill into our toughest challenges
- Leverage sharp research skills to test hypotheses and draw insights to support our goal of industry-leading, resource-efficient copper mining
- Actively support the build, implementation, and maintenance of practical, analytical assets that effectively solve business problems using statistical methodology

- full-time students currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university and recent graduates in North America
- temporary full-time paid positions that usually run from May through August
- This position is not eligible for Freeport-McMoRan immigration work visa sponsorship.
- Interns can work remotely from most states in the U.S., with the exception of California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina.
