HarperCollins Publishers is seeking a Portfolio Operations Intern to support their IT Division by assisting with project management and IT operations, aiming to improve team efficiency and operational effectiveness within a dynamic publishing environment.
Requirements
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
- familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or project management methodologies is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, and tracking projects from initiation to completion.
- Help schedule and document meetings, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely follow-ups on action items.
- Contribute to process documentation and recommend improvements to enhance team efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Prepare project status updates, operational reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Learn and use project management and IT service tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Office Suite) to support daily operations.
- Analyze business challenges, break down problems, and help propose actionable solutions.
- Support quality control processes and help ensure compliance with organizational standards.

- Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2026 or 2027 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience.
- Candidates must be available to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 8 to August 13, 2026, at our New York City office.
