Piper Sandler is looking to solve the business problem of raising capital for public infrastructure for new development or redevelopment projects through the Special District Group (SDG) team in their Public Finance practice.

Requirements

• Advanced cash flow modeling and Excel skills required.
• Proficient with digital software and technology, including databases, and MS Office suite.
• Working knowledge of DBC Finance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, improve, and refine financial models that support real estate-based public finance transactions.
• Provide sophisticated, creative, and accurate numerical analysis to investment banking colleagues in a timely manner, often with multiple conflicts or overlapping deadlines.
• Collaborate with Quantitative Team members to prioritize deadlines, grow knowledge of real estate markets, and develop technical skills.
• Partner with the Banking Team to conduct analysis with a focus on the larger context, including the client's goals and expectations.
• Research issuer financial information using external and internal resources.
• Conceptualize new methods, approaches, and systems to improve business operations.
• Perform any other duties and special projects as assigned.

• Graduate degree preferred, or in process with 2026 Graduation Date. Bachelor degrees will also be considered.
