Raytheon is looking for Systems Engineer Interns to help develop CONOPS, system architecture, system requirements, and manage qualification, verification, and validation for their Space & Airborne Sensors Center. They need support in front-end design, development, integration, testing, and production, while also performing functional/physical analysis, allocation, and trade studies.
Requirements
- Academic or internship experience that included hands-on testing of electronic equipment
- Exposure to troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, or as part of a hobby
- Exposure to data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Office, Python, MATLAB and/or C++
- Experience or coursework in Systems Engineering
- Basic understanding on how radar systems are developed and function
- Understanding of radar modes and operation, such as air/air detection, air/ground detection, and ground mapping capabilities
- Understanding of radar hardware such as receiver/exciters, antennas, processors and the key performance parameters associated with each
Responsibilities
- Support systems requirement development and analysis.
- Support activities in our labs and document requirement verifications.
- Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB and Python
- Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
- Support Radar Mode requirement development, engineering testing, integration and flight-testing, production, system deployment, and post deployment support across the product lifecycle.
- Perform these functions using a variety of methods and enabling technologies, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Agile product development.

- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

- This position is an onsite role.
