Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking Test Engineers for an internship opportunity to ensure that the devices they create to turn steam into electricity and propulsion for the nation’s newest submarines and aircraft carriers meet stringent standards.
Requirements
- Experience using benchtop instrumentation (e.g. spectrum analyzers and digital multimeters).
- Ability to interpret basic circuit diagrams and engineering drawings
- Experience troubleshooting analog or high-voltage circuitry
- Programming and/or automation experience (e. g. MATLAB, Labview, Python, C/C++, C-Sharp, and Visual Basic)
- PLC programming experience (e.g. Al

- Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026
- Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
- The role we perform requires 12.5-hr shifts to support 24/7 system-level test campaigns in our factory and may include night shift support 30-50% of the time. The team also may follow a 7 days on/7 days off schedule to support test campaigns.
