Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is looking to accelerate the development and analysis of their distributed oncology assays by expanding the capabilities of their software platform and enabling precision medicine. The Web Applications team needs to create and maintain user interfaces and APIs for genomic analysis pipelines and interpretation of results.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience (can include school course work) with Python or similar general-purpose programming language
- Basic web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Version control (Git/GitHub)

Responsibilities
- Help us build essential tools and maintain an outstanding user experience for cancer researchers and clinicians
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, bioinformaticians, and research scientists to implement new features
- Write structured, tested, readable, and maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge
- Help us expand the capabilities of our software platform
- Enable precision medicine in laboratories, hospital systems, and research centers around the world
- Implement new features, fix bugs
Other
- Actively pursuing an undergrad degree in computer science, engineering, life sciences (biology, genomics, bioinformatics, etc.), or related field
- first year MS students in bioinformatics are welcomed to apply
- Regular and consistent access to reliable internet and a designated remote working location
- OPTIONAL: may come on site to an IDT office if within commuting distance
