Arcarithm is seeking a Software Engineer to work on the C2BMC program, specifically for software development in Java for the Regional Applications Battle Management team, to support Battle Management Sensor Resource Management (BM/SRM) and work with customers such as Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, and NASA
Requirements
- Experience with Java software development; understanding of searching/sorting algorithms and data structures
- Software engineering and software development with Java experience (additional experience with C++ also desired)
- Knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards and configuration management
- Experience developing enterprise applications
- Familiarity with Java foundation classes and toolkits
- Knowledge of server side/database development, computer system administration
- Security+ or equivalent highly desired
Responsibilities
- Software development in the Java language for the Regional Applications team in Huntsville, AL supporting Battle Management Sensor Resource Management (BM/SRM)
- Performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support
- Maintains currency, debugs and configures related software products
- Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
- Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
- Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system
- Designs, codes, tests and implements tools for operations automation
Other
- Must have an active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level
- Must be able to maintain the required clearance
- Bachelor degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or related field and 0-2 years of experience or 0 years with a graduate degree
- For non computer science major, prefer comp-sci minor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work effectively in a rapid paced, team environment
