DC Government is looking to develop a continuum of care for at-risk youth in the District
Requirements
- Programming language proficiency (R or Stata preferred)
- Knowledge of database management and data visualization
- Demonstrate an understanding of statistical concepts and their application in the analysis of public health and criminal justice data
Responsibilities
- Attend Planning Council meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to identify key data points for tracking and monitoring
- Collaborate with relevant agencies to collect and analyze selected data and identify trends
- Plan, organize and conduct qualitative research to support asset mapping and gap analysis
- Complete a literature review to identify best practices in juvenile justice
- Use collected and analyzed data to help inform Continuum of Care implementation plan
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1 year of work experience in the social sciences, preferably specializing in criminal justice, juvenile justice, public health, social science, or behavioral sciences
- 1 year of experience conducting research and evaluations using public health or justice system administrative data
- Ability to work collaboratively, respond to stakeholders’ needs, and regularly update stakeholders about project milestones
