Progressive is looking to enhance the accessibility of internal and external digital applications based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) level 2.1
Requirements
- working knowledge of design patterns and developing code to create and understand maintainable and performant Object-Oriented software designs
- Angular, iOS, Android experience
- Knowledge of front-end development tools, including semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ARIA
- CPACC, CUA, CXA or WAS certification
- Full Stack development with hands-on experience designing, building, and orchestrating workflows/pipelines using Prefect, AWS, and Snowflake
- Experience using accessibility testing tools (Evinced, WAVE, Axe, Chrome DevTools) and assistive technologies, such as screen readers (JAWs, NVDA, VoiceOver)
Responsibilities
- identify improvements and enhance the accessibility of internal and external digital applications
- collaborate with User Experience Designers (UXD) and Front-End Developers to assist with solving issues through instruction and example
- create and understand maintainable and performant Object-Oriented software designs
- design and develop code to solve issues
- assist with solving accessibility issues
- work with the Accessibility Service Management team
- collaborate with designers and developers to improve accessibility
Other
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and a minimum of 4 years related work experience
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related work experience
- Occasional travel to an office for a meeting and/or training
- Sponsorship for work authorization for foreign national candidates is not available for this position
