The company is looking to solve the problem of managing and growing existing customer accounts by developing strong relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trends
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Process timely and accurate orders in accordance with customer needs
  • Develop new business with existing customers and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of plan workload, stock levels, current market, contract process and deliver schedules to provide accurate information to the customers
  • Develop and maintain good working knowledge of end user applications of assigned metal products to maximize sales potential to meet customer needs
  • Coordinate with management to assure optimum lead-time and inventory levels
  • Identify any aged/obsolete inventory with suggested disposition
  • Supply data, facts, etc to improve quality control

Other

  • The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for any and all matters specific to assigned accounts.
  • The Account Manager is responsible for developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders, and identifying new business opportunities among existing customers.
  • This position is a remote role and will manage accounts throughout the Northeast - Pennsylvania, West Virgina, Ohio, New Jersey, New York, or Connecticut.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Develop trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Results driven individual with high performance standards of themselves and others; with the ability to motivate and lead the sales team
  • Previous work experience in sales, management, account management, or relevant experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple customer accounts
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales or related field or Associate’s degree with equivalent relevant work experience
