Caterpillar's Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD) needs an Accounting Data Analyst for the Global Logistics Procurement group (GLP) to optimize freight cost management, analyze contracted rates, and support strategic logistics decisions by integrating carrier freight rate guidance into forecasting processes and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools for financial reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations as well as read, interpret, and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Responsibilities
- Integrate carrier freight rate guidance into the enterprise inbound freight forecasting process.
- Leverage understanding of carrier freight rate structure in designing the enterprise outbound freight forecast process.
- Collaborate with global procurement leads to dollarize carrier freight rate changes by mode.
- During forecasting cycles, collaborate with Logistics business resources to develop carrier freight rate updates by mode for global business resources contacts.
- Create and utilize automated tools to drive efficiency to support scale of the business functions and accurate financial results.
- Supporting Inbound Logistics freight analysis
