EquiTrust Life Insurance Company is seeking an Actuarial Intern to support product development, pricing, and product management activities for index annuities, fixed annuities, and life insurance.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited university or college, pursuing a degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
- Preference for students who have passed at least one actuarial exam (Society of Actuaries).
- Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn other technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform system testing and quality control for new products, product enhancements, and system changes.
- Conduct competitive studies, participate in industry surveys, and summarize key findings.
- Collect and analyze data, perform experience studies, and present insights.
- Research and resolve issues using problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Support the actuarial team and other departments on special projects as needed.
Other
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and adapt to change.
