North Shore Community College seeks an adjunct instructor to teach courses in Robotics, Automation, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to prepare students for careers in advanced manufacturing, logistics, and related fields.
Requirements
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and robotic systems.
- 3+ years of industry experience in robotics, PLCs, or industrial automation.
- Robotic Teach Pendant Programming (TPP)
- PLC hardware and ladder logic programming
- Troubleshooting automated systems
- Industrial networking and HMIs.
- FANUC, Siemens, or Allen-Bradley systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver curriculum for courses such as: Robotic Teach Pendant Programming (TPP)
- Develop and deliver curriculum for courses such as: PLC hardware and ladder logic programming
- Develop and deliver curriculum for courses such as: Troubleshooting automated systems
- Develop and deliver curriculum for courses such as: Industrial networking and HMIs.
- Provide hands-on lab instruction using FANUC, Siemens, or Allen-Bradley systems.
- Assess student performance through projects, exams, and skills demonstrations.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI background check as a condition of employment a
- Teaching experience at the college level.
- Certifications (e.g., FANUC Handling Tool Operations).
