Penn State is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Center for Nursing Research (CNR) and serve as a point of contact for visitors, students, and research faculty/staff.
Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, including Word and Excel, is preferred
- Previous administrative experience will also be considered a plus
Responsibilities
- Coordinate schedules and meetings for the Director of Research Administration and Associate Dean for Research and Innovation
- Assist in preparing the monthly CNR newsletter
- Facilitate communication between leadership and research faculty/staff
- Serve as a point of contact for faculty and students; respond to inquiries and routine requests
- Provide guidance on office operations and software tools
- Assist with research-related tasks including grant preparation, manuscript support, peer reviews, evaluations, and Activity Insight submissions
- Support data collection for CNR initiatives

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) & 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
