Dykema Gossett PLLC is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive legal support to products liability litigation attorneys and paralegals, ensuring efficient case management, document preparation, and electronic filings for designated clients.
Requirements
- experience electronically filing legal documents with various courts is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word (styles and tables), Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Typing speed of 55 WPM or greater.
- Ability to manage large amounts of data and utilize new technologies for data tracking, reporting and management.
- Knowledge of NetDocuments, Elegrity, File Trail, BigHand and Chrome River are a plus.
- California e-filing experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and proofreads legal documents, correspondence, and reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to formatting guidelines.
- Performs a high volume of electronic and non-electronic filings of legal documents with courts and tribunals.
- Maintains case docketing schedule with discovery deadlines, trial and other legal hearing dates.
- Enter attorney’s time from logs, diary notes, correspondence for review utilizing time entry software, as requested.
- Assists with new business intake processes and data entry tasks, as requested.
- Maintains and organizes electronic and physical legal case files, ensuring proper document management and confidentiality; closes files.
- Provides phone support, communicating with attorneys, opposing counsel and courts as requested.

- Three years of law firm litigation support experience.
- Self-motivated, amiable and resourceful; ability to work successfully with individuals at all levels of the firm and externally.
- Acute time-management, keen attention to detail, superior organizational skills, ability to multitask and take initiative.
- Ability to deliver superior, professional services to all internal and external clients.
- Must maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality regarding client information, documents and conversations.
