UNICEF needs to analyze education administrative data and link it to household survey data to gain deeper insights into education system performance.
Requirements
- Advanced data analytic proficiency with strong command of statistical software, particularly R programming skills
- Proficiency in using GitHub for version control and developing reproducible codes
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience in handling, interpreting, and analyzing education data from Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) household survey program
- Familiarity with Stata and/or SPSS is an advantage
- Experience with producing educational estimates from DHS and other household surveys is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Acquire, clean and prepare education administrative sources for analysis
- Design and document data prep scripts to clean data
- Create a workflow to clean and prepare EMIS data and link it to household survey data
- Ensure reproducibility of code and publish on GitHub
- Produce analysis using administrative and household data
- Analyze and explore econometric methods to analyze linked data
- Validate estimates and finalize outputs
Other
- Advanced university degree in Economics, Sociology, Statistics, Education, Social Sciences, or other related discipline
- Completed profile in UNICEF's e-Recruitment system
- Upload copy of academic credentials
- Financial proposal that includes costs per deliverable and total lump-sum for the whole assignment
- Travel costs and daily subsistence allowance, if internationally recruited or travel is required
- Current health insurance coverage
- U.S. Visa information: G4 Visa and Green Card holders, or ability to change visa status to G4
