Microsoft Advertising is transforming campaign optimization through advanced automation, AI, and privacy-safe bidding strategies, and the Ads Optimization Principal Product Manager will define and deliver next-generation bidding solutions to maximize advertiser ROI and streamline campaign management.
Requirements
- Committed understanding of data models, auction dynamics, and advertiser metrics.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical application in product experiences (e.g., automated bidding, predictive modeling).
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Ads ecosystem or similar large-scale advertising platforms.
- Comfort with experimentation frameworks, data visualization, and BI tools
- Understanding of privacy and compliance requirements in advertising.
- 5+ years of experience with shipping optimization, bidding, or analytics products at scale, ideally in advertising or marketing technology.
- 4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy for automated bidding across channels, campaign types, and assets.
- Prioritize features that deliver measurable advertiser value, including new bid strategies, optimization algorithms, and integration with campaign management platforms.
- Collaborate to ensure bidding models are accurate, performant, and scalable.
- Drive the design of intuitive workflows that make automated bidding accessible and actionable for advertisers.
- Champion experimentation and continuous improvement through A/B testing and performance analytics.
- Align all bidding solutions with Microsoft’s privacy standards and global regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Engage with customers through research, betas, and feedback loops to prioritize features that deliver clarity, control, and confidence in campaign outcomes.
