Advance MiTek's software and hardware products by building and deploying new AI systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions in areas such as NLP, computer vision, or deep learning.
- Proven track record delivering production-grade AI/ML models, including scalable data pipelines and monitoring systems.
- Experience building AI systems for external customer-facing products.
- Hands-on experience with MLOps (e.g., model versioning, deployment, orchestration, monitoring) and tools like Azure ML, SageMaker, MLflow, or Airflow.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn, NumPy, Pandas, OpenCV, and Docker.
- Strong grasp of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
- Experience deploying models on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive systems and frameworks for AI applications and products.
- Supervise and sustain AI systems in production to guarantee consistent model accuracy and reliability.
- Develop POCs and prototypes (including data explorations) in a fast-paced environment to ensure feasibility, scalability, and accuracy of algorithms and models.
- Research and implement state-of-the-art data science techniques for modeling and algorithm development.
- Lead complex end-to-end projects using structured and unstructured data types, including time series data sources.
- Create advanced data visualizations and dashboards to communicate effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, and researchers to deliver high-quality products and services.

- Lead, mentor, and coach junior members of the AI team on AI/ML and industry best practices and methodologies, fostering their professional growth
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time.
- Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in computer vision and artificial intelligence.
- Attend meetings with customers and cross-functional departments to understand project needs and requirements, collect data sets, and assist with converting business requirements into technical specifications.
