Booz Allen is looking for a Data Scientist to help turn complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges, particularly within the DoD space, focusing on optimization of logistics planning, Generative AI, autonomy, and R&D.
Requirements
- Experience in complex mathematical modeling such as AI/ML, simulations, data mining
- Experience working in academic STEM research areas, and working with impactful industry-oriented data science and quantitative analysis or modeling
- Experience with mathematics such as linear algebra, vector calculus, and optimization
- Experience utilizing Python for mathematical modeling and data work leveraging standard libraries such as NumPy, pandas, Matplotlib, and scikit-learn
- Experience working with code as a programmer
- Ability to break down complex problems into tractable programmatic and mathematical pieces that can be effectively solved in an organized and efficient manner
- Experience with distributed data and computing tools such as Spark, MapReduce, and Hadoop

- Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or CS field
- You’ll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs
