- Experience with finite element analysis using Ansys, Nastran, or equivalent
- Expertise with NX software or equivalent CAD software
- Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of the engine system design using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
- Responsible for defining product requirements for assigned module / components / subcontractors, and partners teams. Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.
- Manages interfaces between adjacent hardware, as well as between execution organizations. Responsible for driving CTQ / Risk trades within the teams designing the components. Manages the overall module level product configuration.
- Be an expert in MBSE and ensure all interfaces, test plans, and qualification plans are accurately and completely mapped to components and modeled without error in the MBSE digital model
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve program requirements, schedules, and contract commitments
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand program needs, build confidence in GE Aerospace’s ability to execute and deliver, and provide solutions that meet program cost and schedule constraints
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
