Responsibilities
- Coordinate, administer and perform the quality function of an engineering and technical nature to ensure product quality and reliability at minimum quality costs.
- Completion and documentation of all phases of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
- Prepare and submit all necessary PPAP documentation per AIAG or VDA guidelines.
- Develop gauge concepts and procure gauges for specific programs. Work with component and tooling/equipment suppliers to improve products and resolve manufacturing problems.
- Participate in Simultaneous Development Teams (SDT’s). Participate in internal audits as required.
- Support the Product Introduction Process through all phases of prototype fabrication and delivery.
- Ensure that appropriate statistical methods are utilized throughout the Product and Process Development process and deployed into the Control Plan
Other
- A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a technical area.
- Minimum 5 years Quality Engineering inside Manufacturing - Automotive Preferred
- Quality training in the core disciplines is required
- Experience being responsible for review of a customer PPAP
- Travel to Central Tech Unit Plymouth MI may be required
